"On june 3 2011 i had a blow out on my Yamaha xvs1100
on the blueridge parkway just north of Asheville and got
towed into M-r motorcycle. I needed a back tire and back
brake pads. Steve Conti got the bike right in and fixed the
bike right away. In 2 hr I was back on the way. Thank you

"MR Motorcycle took my bike from DEAD at 5:30 pm on a Thursday (towed in) to out the door and on to the Blue Ridge Parkway by noon on Friday... after I shredded the drive gear on my shaft-driven '01 Kawasaki Concours ZG-1000. The price I spent on this outstanding service is too low to print.
I was 450 miles from home and stuck on a mountain, and they put me back on my trip. I'm home now, 1,200 miles in four days, with one night spent in Asheville while Steve & his crew at MR saved my trip. They couldn't possibly have been better, quicker, friendlier, more accommodating or confidence-inspiring.

"While on the second day of a bike trip to Deals Gap and the Blue Ridge Parkway, I discovered that I had worn out the side treads of my front tire. Being from Chicago and not able to replace it myself I braced for the worst.
Thankfully I found MR motorcycles. Very freindly on the phone, and a large selection of tires. Yes it cost more than ordering it myself and doing the work myself. The cost of the tire was only $20 more than I could get it online, and they got me in and done in about an hour, so as to continue on my vacation.
Steve Conti in service was very professional (he's OCD, don't face your money it'll drive him nuts) and understanding of my predicament. I don't think a little over 50 bucks is much for a one hour tire change.
My bike is an 08 Concours 14 if anyone was curious.
After 1500 miles all is well. Would definitely go back.
Store appears to have a large selection of pretty much everything, including a lounge area with food service.

"When I decided to get back into riding after more than 30 years I visited MR several times to look at used motorcycles. When I decided it was time to buy I returned to MR due to the friendly sales staff I had spoken with during my visits. During the purchase of my Shadow 750 I was, once again, impressed with the friendly and knowledgeable staff. I found the motorcycle I wanted and insurance from Progressive right in the showroom. "I was traveling to Kentucky from Atlanta and my 2007 R6 quit running on the interstate. I called my dealer in Georgia and they gave me the number to your dealership. I contacted Alex Brown in service. Arrangements were made to have the bike hauled in and repaired (it only needed a new battery).I was on my way 2 hours after I got to the dealership. They didn't have to stay past closing to get me on the road but I am sure they would have if it had been necessary. Alex was extremely knowledgable about my bike. He provided the necessary service which was what he was gettiing paid for but also provided friendly conversation which appeared to just be his nature. Alex and his team saw that mine was not the normal situation considering I was several hundred miles from home. I remember at one time there were four people working to get the battery located, charged, and installed. What I would give to get that kind of service everywhere. I plan to buy a dirt bike in the spring for my son and I will at least give MR an opprotunity to make the sale.

"Hello,
I waited for 8 months to take a trip to the mountins and be part of Wings over the Smokys, II left 2 days early to ride the mountians, the first day there i had a oil leak that had to be fixed. I showed up to MR Motorcycles at 10:30AM and meet Alex Brown, he took excelent care of the problem. What was thought of to be a major problem turned into a quick fix with reseting a gasket and i was on my way by 12 noon.
I can not say how thankful and greatful i am to Alex and his crew for their quick attention to my problem.

"Like every other testemonial here, my experience with Mr. Motorcycle was truly outstanding. We were up in the mountains on our annual trip from Florida when I had a flat tire on our last morning. One of my friends had been to the shop a few years ago so we drove over. Alex was quick to jump on my problem and even though the service dept. was busy that morning, they had me out of there and riding before one of my buddies could finish his purchase of his new helmet. Which leads me to my next experience: I have been to many,many dealerships over the years and bought many many helmets (almost all Shoeis or Arais). I'm on my third Arai but never before have I had anyone take the time to truly get me fitted into a helmet like those folks did for me and my friend. Never anytime was I given a hard sale on anything and I have never left a dealership with a feeling that I wanted to come back until Mr Motorcycle. The Customer experience is truly amazing here!

"I rode down from Boston, MA. on the 19th and 20th of June 2010. On Monday the 21st I noticed a clicking sound coming from my front end. I finished the day and it seemed to be getting worse. We jumped on the Blue Ridge Parkway which was our primary goal. By the time we were detoured off the BRP due to rockslides, I decided to find a Yamaha dealer. I called my wife and she checked it out online while my buddy and I drove to the city of Ashville. I ended up speaking to Alex who gave me superb directions to MR. Knowing my situation, being far from home and on vacation, he rode the bike and put it in the shop. They quickly determined my brakes were dragging on the disk, and my front bearings were shot. He directed me to the lounge (imagine that!!!! a customer lounge!!!) where I sat and had a cold drink. Very quickly the bike was repaired and I was on the road again. The price was fair. The quality of the workmanship was superb. Alex treated me like I was the most important customer in the world. He even gave me a recipe for pulled pork and his personal e-mail so my wife could call him with questions about the recipe!! If I didn't live 1000 miles away, I'd never bring my bike to anyone else. Yamaha Corporation should send all of their franchise owners to MR Motorcycles for classes in how to run a motorcycle operation. Thanks for being there for me in a time of trouble, for treating me like royalty, and for getting me back home safely. You are simply the best!!"

"I was on a road trip with some friends enjoying the twistys there above Ashville and did not realize that the tread on my rear tire was close to its end. I burned up whatever tread was left from Thursday to Friday and was in definite need for a new tire by Saturday morning. Called around and found MR and these guys must ride too because they jumped on this problem as soon as our group got there Saturday morning. They had the tire, the time, the expertise, and the consideration to install new brake pads and the new rear tire while our group went to breakfast around the corner. We came back in less than an hour and the bike was ready to go! Our ride went on schedule and I can only say that these guys were there when they were needed and especially to an out of town rider from Austin Texas! My thanks goes out to these "Customer Service Heroes" I have been riding for many years and never have seen a motorcycle shop so in tune with their customer's needs. Having just returned from MR Motorcycle with the part I needed to repair my ATV, I wanted to take a moment to thank you and your staff for the many years of service you have afforded me.
When I purchased my Honda ATV from you in 1994, I had no idea that it was the beginning of a very rewarding relationship for me. But, that is just what it has developed to be.
Case in point...I voluntarily plow our subdivision every winter and it is important that my equipment be ready to go. To my dismay, I just discovered that I couldn't start my ATV with the electric starter. I could jump start it, but I wanted to merely push that button. I called Lee at your store and help was at hand instantly. Following his instructions, I was able to resolve the problem by purchasing the part from you and installing it myself, instead of renting a trailer, etc, etc. The savings were tremendous, both in dollars and peace of mind. "To Whom It May Concern:
As a female rider, not all dealerships, or staff personnel, accept the fact that a woman is capable of riding her own motorcycle and treat her accordingly.
Not so with MR Motorcycle.
In the past six years, MR Motorcycle has been the dealer of choice for my husband and I. In those six years, we have bought two motorcycles, placed one on consignment, traded another and bought various accessories and had the usual service appointments. In all those dealings, we have been treated with courtesy, fairness and respect. The staff has always been knowledgable regarding the product sold or ordered.
My last vist, Friday, June 12th, was no exception. I was greeted promptly and courteously. Upon stating that I was looking for a riding jacket, I was referred to Tiffany Wingate. In showing me several different styles, she answered any question I had regarding the jacket. She was honest in her assessment of fittings and gave great tips on how to get the most benefit from the jacket.
Thanks to your knowledgeable and courteous staff, each visit has been a pleasure.

I Bought my first bike from a Kawasaki Dealer in eastern NC and was the most miserable experience I had ever had. I was looking for parts one day and came across MR Motorcycle in the Yellow pages. I called in and Lee in parts picked up and the first question I asked was can you get my parts and his reply was "If I don't have it I will find it". That is the best customer service I have seen at any dealer so far. "I checked a lot of sites looking for parts for my bike. I noticed that the part number had 1 digit that did not match the other sites and shops that I called (I had also called and checked with the local cycle shops for the parts I needed). I called and talked with a salesman (Steve Engle ext. 108) about the difference in the part number to make sure it was not a rebuilt part. I was told that it was the updated part number and it was not a rebuilt part. I found that you were the only place that had updated numbers in your system. I talked with Steve and found that he was very knowledgeable about getting me the right parts at the best price. I ordered what I needed before I got off the phone with him. I would give your business a five star rating and will say that I will be using you for all my cycle needs.

"I love this place.It was over twenty years between rides for me.I'm not always the easiest person to deal with.I have dealt with every department in their store and I can honesty say I wouldn't hesitate to buy another motorcycle from them.The staff even after the sale is still as excited buy my purchase as I am.When I go back they ask how I like my bike how many miles I have on it and what I think.Plus they have given me excellent advice on safe operation.I can't say enough good things about them and all my friends that ride have the same experiences.I haven't found anyone that has anything bad to say about them.Buy here and you will be as happy as I have been."

"This was the second time that I chose to purchase a new bike from MR instead of the dealer in my hometown of Columbia,SC. I bought a new Suzuki Bandit 1200 in 2001, and last week purchased a 2008 Kawasaki KLR 650. I have had nothing but wonderful experiences with everybody at MR. I can't say how nice it is to deal with people of such character and integrity. The Kawasaki deal was done over the phone and it was a toss up between the new one or a used 2005. I had complete confidence that everything would be as represented to me by Brian Lenoir on the used bike, and found it to be even better when I saw it in person. After riding the two bikes back to back, I decided the improvements to the 2008 made it worthwhile. It is nice to know that I do not need to haggle over price with Brian because he has always been very fair with me and priced both the new bikes and my trade fairly and honestly. I have never felt pressure, only pleasure in my dealings with MR. This extends to all that I have dealt with, from the business office to the parts department. Although I may go a year without going to MR, I always feel that I am with friends when I am there and enjoy seeing familiar faces when I do get to visit. Thank you everybody!"

"Hello,
My name is Matthew Jones, my 1999 Suzuki Intruder 1500 recently broke down and left me stranded in Asheville, N.C. on May 30. It was about 4:30 P.M. and I had no clue how was going to get help or where the closest bike shop was. Then out of the blue these great guys told about MR Motorcycles that was only a mile from where I was. They gave me a ride to your guys shop. When I got there I expected to here that I was going to have to wait till the morning to get any help because you close at 6:00 P. M.. That was not the case immediately someone started diagnosing the problem with my bike. Everyone was so helpful they offered to stay as late as possible to try and see if it could be fixed that day, but unfortunately it couldn’t be. So I thought I would have to pay a taxi to come get me and find a hotel to stay the night. I was wrong again. Your service manager offered me a ride to a hotel. He drove me all over town and stayed with me till I found a hotel and was in my room. The next morning I called and they said my bike was done and I could go. Again I got a ride to your guys shop, which was unexpected to have that courtesy. Well I figured that I was going to be charged an arm and a leg for your guys service. I was very pleased for the price and the work they did. So to show my thanks and I have referred everyone single person I meet and know to your guys shop. Even though it’s a six hour drive from where I live, I would still make it to get my work done by the best shop I know. So from my wife and me we thank you for the excellent service and unto common courtesy you have provided me.
